Myf Truscott is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Sensorimotor Art Therapist, who offers individual counselling and facilitates group art therapy programs.
Myf is a highly skilled and compassionate, with extensive knowledge and experience working with people from all ages and backgrounds. Myf specialises in working with children, providing them with a nurturing and safe environment to thrive and improve overall mental, social and emotional wellbeing.
As a Sensorimotor Art Therapist, Myf incorporates creative art therapies into her practice to empower children to explore and express their emotions, develop coping strategies, improve regulation, foster resilience and improve overall emotional and mental wellbeing.
Myf has working experience in the areas of adoption, including local and intercountry adoption, out-of-home care, mental health, education and oncology. She specialises in working with children who have experienced trauma, grief and loss and significant life transitions. As a trauma-informed and neurodiversity affirming practitioner, Myf recognises the profound impact of trauma on children’s lives and utilises evidence-based interventions to support their healing and growth.
Myf is an active member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and holds the necessary clearances, including NDIS screening and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), ensuring the highest level of safety and professionalism in her work.
